An important process when setting up your business and forms your foundation of everything you do in your business is identifying who you ideal dream (target) customer is.

Without knowing who they are, you won’t be able to connect with them. Beyond the demographics of your customer - it is important to dig deep, look to uncover their passions, goals, values, pains and fears.

Once you are clear who they are it will make it so much easier for you and will help you Identify who you want to serve/work with and who you don’t.

This is also known as your avator, target audience, dream client - it is who do you want to attract to your brand? This applies to whatever the business you are in - so they can work with with, hire you or buy from you.

Reality is you don’t want to work for everyone/anyone and not talking specifically to your ideal customer will waste you a lot of time and not to mention your energy.

By knowing who your ideal dream customer is makes it easier to communicate to them, attract them and create marketing material directly targeted to them.

When you don’t know who they are:

  • Your messaging won’t target their pain points to relate to them and connect to them

  • You won’t be able to develop a strong meaningful brand - your brand will be generic and won’t stand out from your competitor

It is important before visuals come to life, you know who your ideal customer is so you create branding and messaging targeted to them.
